Sweaty Butt Stuck to Your Chair? Bring on the Suzukaze

Tired of having a sweaty fanny while sitting at your computer during these humid summer days? Well don’t sweat (literally), as there is now a solution, the Suzukaze.

The Suzukaze (meaning ‘cool breeze’) is actually an air conditioned cushion that is designed to keep your rear end cool. The cushion works by keeping you elevated from your chair so that cold air can come in directly from underneath. Say goodbye to those sticky chairs and wet pants, and hello to your new cold and revitalized butt cheeks.

The Suzukaze comes in three versions. The standard, which is one basic layer of Spacer Material that keeps you elevated. The upgraded version features a
Dual Layer Spacer Material and a touch sensitive switch that can turn the fan on and off. Finally, the Ferrari of the Suzukaze features a cigarette lighter adapter allowing you to use the cushion in your car.

The company behind the Suzukaze is not only out to relieve your sweaty buttocks, but also to save both energy and money. The cushion is said to cost only 5 cents when run for a month on batteries, 8 hours a day.

Easy Design and Print Solutions - From Business Cards to Announcements

VistaPrint dot ca is the easiest way to design and print products to meet your businesses needs.

The main page of the site is very user friendly; everything is broken down into categories, including business cards, marketing materials, announcements, and promotional products. Each category further lists the available products and features – such as free logo design.

Upon selecting a product – for instance premium business cards – you are given the option to browse designs, build your own, or upload your own finished design. VistaPrint has many designs that you can choose from, and allows you to search by industry or theme in order to find a design that suits you.

There are a wide variety of easy to use customization tools available, the custom logo designer being my favorite. To use this feature, you have to select ‘build your own design’, and then ‘use VistaPrint’s FREE logo designer.’ You will be first asked to enter text or a company name. After this step you will select a logo by browsing designs by industry or style. You can view the logo on products along the way, to get a feel of what the end result will look like. After selecting your logo, you will customize the text by picking a text style, effect and color. Your logo is then complete and ready to use on any product on the website. Once you have selected and completed your product, you are put through a very simple order process to end your shopping experience.

Frustrated? How about a nail to the USB Drive

Have you ever been so frustrated at your computer that you wanted to throw it out of a window? Or hammer a nail through the USB drive? Of course you have, however now you can now actually do the latter without harming your PC.

Thanks to the guys at Plankton, you can live out this dream with a new ‘nailed’ USB drive. The drive features 2GB of storage, a unique nail design complete with oversized head to ensure you don’t miss it with your hammer amidst all the rage (I wouldn’t recommend actually hitting the drive with a hammer, but a few taps wouldn’t hurt). The USB drive is priced just under 50 USD.

Sony Developing Own Version of ‘Wiimote’

Rumour has it that Sony has been working on a Wii-like remote for the PlayStation 3. Apparently a group of PS3 owners were taken to California where they got to test out this new Sony product, a PS3 remote that mimics the functions of the Wiimote. The PS3 owners used the device to play games such a tennis, paintball, and fencing. They were also shown how it could potentially be used in shooters, with a demo of the remote being used to play Quake on a laptop. There are many changes that need to be made before Sony can even consider releasing this product, starting with the fact that the device is mounted on a large tripod. If this product does reach the market, the gaming community could end up being a great source for professional athletes – or so we’d like to think.

5 Things You Never Knew Your Cell Phone Could Do

I received this in an email this week and thought I would share it with you all. I found it very interesting, let me know if you agree.

For all the folks with cell phones. (This should be printed and kept in your car, purse, and wallet. Good information to have with you.)

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.

Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST: Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find Yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND

Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys In the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other remote’ for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor’s Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked Our car over a cell phone!’

THIRD: Hidden Battery Power

Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys #3370#. Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell phone next time.

FOURTH: How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following Digits on your phone: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

When your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can’t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

And Finally…

FIFTH: Free Directory Service for Cells

Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 information calls when they don’t have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which makes this situation
even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial: (800)FREE411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this into your cell phone now.

SocialSpark - Drive Traffic To Your Blog

IZEA - the company behind PayPerPost dot com - has just launched SocialSpark, which is another great site to help promote your blog and make money doing it.

There are both things I like and things I do not like about this site. On the negative side, upon first visiting the website I found it a little bit confusing. There is a lot going on, and many links to click and browse through. It will take some time to get to know your way around the site. However, after creating a profile and setting up a blog account, the site seems to closely resemble the features of PayPerPost. On the positive site, once logged in, you can easily view post opportunities in the marketplace. Unlike PayPerPost, you can choose between Sponsored Posts, Blog Sponsorships, or Spark. Spark is the new category here, which basically entails you writing a blog or posting a picture, and upon doing so someone else will write about your post on their blog. This is a great way to drive hits to your site and increase your page rank.

Each account on SocialSpark has a unique and fully customizable profile. My profile can be found here. You can add things such as pictures, hobbies, or interests.

Overall SocialSpark seems like a great idea, I will definitely be spending more time on the site to get a hang of it. It is definitely a great way to drive traffic to your blog as well as make money.

Power Your PC by Typing

With the world’s ever-changing focus towards a greener environment, we have seen a variety of new products that help reduce consumption of oil and electricity. Thanks to the kinetic intelligence of the Dynamo Keyboard, computer users can now be greener when surfing the web or playing online games. You will no longer be consuming the nation’s power or burning down small forests because of your late night computer usage writing emails or chatting on MSN.

When you type using this Kinetic Keyboard, you power your computer with your fingers kinetic energy, giving you one of the smallest carbon fingerprints around. The more you type, the more you cut down on your monthly power bill. The keyboard is QWERTY, is made from sustainable plastic, and conforms to all safety standards. It can be purchased online for about $120 – who said saving the environment was cheap?

This product is most definitely an April fools joke or a marketing gimmick, however I must say the concept is neat - although you would probably have to type over a thousand words per minute just to power your CPU.

Water Powered Cell Phones On The Way

The future of water-powered cell phones draws nearer, as Samsung Electronics has created a micro-fuel cell and hydrogen generator that runs on good old H2O.

When the handset is turned on, the metal and water in the phone react to produce hydrogen gas. This gas is then supplied to the fuel cell where it reacts with oxygen in the air to generate power.

This fuel cell is very different than other fuel cells that utilize water. Others need methanol to produce hydrogen, while Samsung’s version requires only water.

The fuel cell is said to create power for 10 hours, which is nearly twice the length of rechargeable batteries.

It won’t be long until were filling up our cell phones with water before we go out, as Samsung is aiming to incorporate this technology in their cell phones by 2010.
