Last fall Sony announced its PlayTV add on for the PlayStation 3. It has finally been displayed for us all to see, and European users now have a reason to be excited (us North American’s will have to wait anxiously for it to be released).
PlayTV basically allows you to view a TV guide, pause and rewind TV, as well as record one channel while watching another, all with your PlayStation 3. You can also watch TV or recorded shows on your PlayStation portable via Remote Play, anywhere in the world, on a wi-fi connection. The only downside to PlayTV is that there is currently no way to record TV while playing a game. However, developers are currently working on this issue. No release date has been stated as of yet.
