The folks at YawpBox dot com have asked me to do a review of their site. Yawpbox is a site where users can upload their created videos. There are various video categories, such as the Lex & Terry Challenge, Events, Accidental, and Funny/Stupid.
YawpBox can expect great things in the future, as the interest in user created videos continues to rise. However, YawpBbox will have to have some unique features to draw users in and away from the almighty Youtube. And as a matter of fact, it does.
On the main page you will see a link called YawpBox TV; this is where users will upload videos in hopes to be on the Yawpbox TV show. This 30 minute show is filmed in Dallas, Texas, and will be the first show where the content is completely generated by users of the site (take that Youtube).
Most people today find it very interesting to view users created videos. I personally enjoy the funny/stupid ones. If you are ever in need of a laugh, it’s very easy to find a user uploaded video on the web that will give you a good chuckle. My recent favorite a video of CNN Prank calls.
Users on YawpBox will be able to upload videos to a huge audience. Not only will the users and visitors of the site be able to watch it, but they may also appear on Yawpbox TV, where millions of viewers will be watching. So uploaders, make those videos count!
Another unique feature to YawpBox is the Lex & Terry challenge. In this section, Lex & Terry have created various topics, such as “Have you ever had a mullet”, and users must respond by uploading a video. There are many different topics in the challenge section, and I am sure they are always changing.
